"Gatsby Returns" at Sanctuary Open House

It was quite the night.  I wish I had a photo of us to show you!  Kent in his white tux and black bow  tie.  Me in a flapper dress and a gazillion pearls.  It felt like the 20s at the Sanctuary at Admiral.

Flower Lab did the overall design.  Here's an arch created from folded newspaper.  Such a great idea!

The rustic quality of the paper was counterpointed with golds ...

and with silvers!

There were also a few feathers and bling added.

Flower arrangements, including one completely assembled from sedums (I love sedums -- just bought another one today) were on display from Metropolitan Market.

Music was everywhere:  Miss Rose and Her Rhythm Percolators was singing upstairs, while Rob Gregerson and Friends were in the Speakeasy.
Pedersens Event Rentals was there with their stock of linens and lights and all things needed to dress up your Gatsby event.

BAKED Custom Cakes created this oh so deco cake.

There was also a long table with vintage mix and match place settings.  I like this trend.

Animate Objects partnered with Portage Bay Cafe to present a walking table of Kir Royale.  Always in fashion.

Near our display was Kelli Bielema of Shindig Events.  We've worked together on weddings and it always turned out well.

321 Foto was there to provide those fun photobooth images.  We always save ours on the frig.

And, there were so many truly great caterers to check out:
City Catering, DUO's, Foodz, Galluci's, Herban Feast, Lisa Dupar and Ravishing Radish,  Kent said he actually gained a pound that night.

Maurice Labrecque of Maurice Photography was there to capture the spirit of the evening.  I'm sure you'll be seeing his work soon!
