Caitlin and Ben's Wedding Featured in Pacific Coast Weddings!

Caitlin is a so very happy bride! Posted by Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding OfficiantThis summer it was a joy to officiate for Ben and Caitlin at Fall City Farms.  They are a fun couple whose love shines through in everything they do, including their wedding.

And, they were so creative, their wedding was featured in the "Real Weddings" section of Pacific Coast Weddings.
There is a beautiful log retreat/seminar building where the wedding party got ready and the food was prepared but all the activities took place outside in bright sun and under the brilliant moon ... or under the huge tent.

There was plenty of room for the ceremony and for dining and for games and dancing afterwards.

The ceremony was simple:  no wedding party, just Ben and Caitlin.
They used white doors to frame where we stood.

It was warm that evening and so very comfortable to be outside.

Sergei and Kelsey Create a Very Personal Aisle Runner for Their Wedding!

Kelsey and Sergei "walk down their memory land" aisle runner. Kent Buttars, Seattle Wedding Officiant

OK ... I'm not a big fan of lightweight aisle runners (although the heavyweight carpet ones are great.)  Kelsey and Sergei, however, created a very personal "walk to the altar" at Ray's Boathouse.

It was entitled "A Walk Down Memory Lane."  And began with their names and photos.

Obviously, the two are Dawg fans.

There was a photo of their first date, photos of Central Park in the fall and a trip to Thailand.

Puppy love ... so cute!

Eric and Cindy - Two Celebrations for One True Love

Eric and Cindy exchange their wedding vows. Officiant: Patricia Stimac, A Heavenly Ceremony.
Eric grew up in the Pacific Northwest and moved to Texas, which is fortunate because that's where he found his true love: Cindy.

The bride and groom met online and had their first date about two years ago. Eric had recently bought a Chevy Volt and they fell in love at the same time they became "up close and personal" with almost every plug in the metroplex.  (I think that is so cute ... and so environmentally sound.)

The two decided to have their wedding ceremony and one reception at the Barbee Mill Community Center in Renton, and then another reception in Texas.
The community center at Barbee Mill

When they contacted me, I had to look up their wedding venue.  It is quite lovely and perfect for an intimate celebration.  Perfect for them.

The night of the wedding was clear and there was a beautiful sunset.

Cindy and her twin sister, Lindy, arranged the flowers and completed the other decorations before changing into their ceremony attire.

Meanwhile, Mark, Eric's brother, was preparing the food for the reception.  It all looked absolutely yummny.

Here's the wedding party:  Lindy, Cindy, Eric and Mark.

Beginning of Anthony and Veronica's Wedding on the Skansonia Ferry - Kent Buttars, Seattle Wedding OfficiantJust received these photos from Paul Whittaker.  The bride and groom wed as dusk was falling.  The lights on the Skansonia Ferry created a magical glow.

Anthony awaited Veronica's walk down the aisle along with Kent.  He looks so very happy.

Pat and Kent Would Love Your Vote For Best Officiant - Evening Magazine Poll

Just two days to go ... and we would love your vote.

http://best.king5.com/a-heavenly-ceremony/biz/122855

With gratitude

Please Vote Yes on 522 - We Have the Right to Know What is In Our Food!

As you are aware the Yes on 522 is the campaign is about labeling genetically engineered in Washington State.  Kent and I really, really, really, really, really what to support this and here's why:

This is an issue that affects me and my relatives in daily life.  I'm fairly allergic to certain foods: when foods are genetically altered (which they already are), I find my body responds in unpleasant ways.  Currently, I have to learn by trial and error, what I can eat, which is unnecessary -- just let me know what in the food and I can choose to eat ... or avoid what I don't want to eat.

Lots of things are already labeled:  we know if food is organic or not (go Team Organic), we know about sodium and sugar levels, natural or artificial flavorings, farmed or wild caught salmon. Now we need to know whether the food is genetically engineered or not.

Please vote "YES!"

Art Deco Wedding Cake - As Tasty As It Is Artful

Madeleine's European Cake - Art Deco Cake Ceremony officiated by Kent Buttars, Seatte Wedding Officiants

Daria and Danny planned a 1920s themed wedding and this was their wedding cake.

Wow!  It was created by Madeleine's European Cake

What a show stopper ... and yummy, too.

Details really can add that extra dimension to a wedding celebration.

Wedding Day Tribune: Danny Weds Daria at The Sanctuary at Admiral!

Danny and Daria - 1920s theme wedding at The Sanctuary on Admiral - Kent Buttars, A Heavenly Ceremony
What a great night!  Daria and Danny decided on a classy theme for their wedding.  They chose the 1920s and asked everyone to dress in clothes of that era.

Don't they look like they could have walked right off the pages of The Great Gatsby?  One hot doll and one cool cat.

There is so much to share about their wedding ... but I'll wait for the professional photos.  Here is just one aspect of their wedding:  the newsboys.

Newsboys deliver the news of Danny & Daria's Wedding - Ceremony officiated by Kent Buttars, Seattle Wedding Officiant

As family and friends entered the Sanctuary at Admiral, the two peddled the latest news:  Danny and Daria's wedding!

(Aren't they adorable!!  And, yes, this is Danny's first car!)

We read all about it in a special edition of the Wedding Day Tribune.

Wedding Day Tribune headline: Danny to wed Daria! Ceremony celebrated by Kent Buttars, A Heavenly Ceremony

Can't wait to share more ...

This Valentino actually got his Daisy.  The two found the best speakeasy in town, greased the skids with the fuzz, and they sure know how to throw a wingding!  They'll go far!!

Kent officiated and we were invited to the shindig.  Got all gussied up, we did!
