Tim and Millicent held their rehearsal at Tim's parents' place. Their home fronts the Sound at Lakebay.
The wedding colors were aqua and cherry red. Coincidently, I bought some organic cherries on my way to the rehearsal and then smiled when I saw the cherries on the tablecloth and the place cards. It was so adorable, so seasonal ... and so very festive.
We rehearsed on the lawn and then enjoyed the pulled pork and potato salad. It was an absolutely perfect evening in the Pacific Northwest.
If you are planning your rehearsal, remember it can take place just about any where. To plan your event, give us a call at 2060-789-9788 or through our website.
Thank you for thinking of us, but... Pat Stimac is no longer with us. She joined her angels July 20, 2016 after a two year bout with cancer. Kent Buttars stopped officiating weddings at the end of 2017. Thanks to our thousands of couples over the last 20 years for the happiness they brought, and to our many valued friends in the wedding industry.

Jonathan and Aiza are Engaged - Will wed in the Summer 2014
We met Aiza and Jonathan in May. Just the month before, they traveled to the Philippines, which is where this photo was taken.
The two have been together since June 19, 2003, and
will be getting married on August 2, 2014, at Rock Creek Gardens.
They will be including elements from their Filipino heritage in the ceremony -- which is always engaging. It is going to be a wonderful experience.
We're very much looking forward to being a part of their wedding day!
If you are planning a wedding and would like to include elements from your heritage, please give us a call at 206-789-9788 or contact us through our website.

Celebration of Paul Schandel's Life
On May 20th, a celebration of life ceremony was held for Paul Schandel, son of Donald and Paula Schandel, brother of Leesa and Celeste, father of Devon and Cameron, beloved of many. Uncles and aunts, as well as friends, traveled far to attend the service.
Rhonda Funk, Paul's cousin, began things by playing the keyboard and singing "You Are My Sunshine." Leesa, Paul's sister, recalled her brother as a three-year-old strumming his toy ukulele while singing along to this song with his grandmother in her kitchen.

Family and friends gathered many, many photographs to create a remembrance table of Paul's life.
Other photos were strung in the trees and used as part of the centerpeices.
Besides being a passionate Harley rider, Paul loved the Boston Bruins. His niece, Zoe, presented a reading of our dear her uncle was to her ... and family and friends shared their memories.
And Paul loved to BBQ So that was the food of the evening.
Here is Leesa and her husband, Josh, enjoying the fine fare. It was messy ... and yummy. (I was honored to officiate at their wedding!) So good to see happy couples years after their wedding day.
All were profoundly grateful that Paul touched their lives -- what better a tribute is there. His memory will live on through each and every person there.
Kent and I are thankful to be a part of people's lives: the happy moments (weddings and baby blessing) and the celebrations of life lived. All touch us in unique ways. I got to know Paul vicariously and am glad to have had the experience. Prayers and blessings to his family and friends.

Original Wedding Gift for Couples Who Love Wine!
Officiated for Kholysoh "Kaleeska" and Bud this evening at the Seattle Design Center. It was a wonderful experience.
When I walked past the gift table, I saw this! What a creative and thoughtful gift.
There are five bottles of wine and a collection of stemless wine glasses to suit the wines.

Each wine was selected for a "first" in the couple's life together. Although I'm not familiar with the wine qualities of "Snowflake," the name of it was a playful selection for a wine to celebrate Bud and Kholysoh's first Christmas Eve.
Each bottle had a poem or message attached to it
that was written especially for the bride and groom.

Ummm ... I have a few weddings coming up this summer.
What a fun gift to create and give and receive.
Maybe this is a good gift for you to offer as well!
