Wedding Vows of Craig and Tina Exchanged at Gold Mountain Golf Course

The Pacific Northwest is absolutely beautiful in the summer.  Tina and Craig decided to celebrate their wedding at the Gold Mountain Golf Club.  It is a spectacular setting amid miles of forest.

There are so many scenic spots for photo sessions in the nearby area, including the waterfront.

Tina entered the ceremony site on the arm of her cousin, David.  A beautiful bride excited to be wed.

The flower girls, Cadence and Cheyenne, were quite eager to catch sight of Tina!
Totally cute!

OK ... everyone was pretty happy to see Tina!

The wedding colors of vibrant purple created a striking look to the ceremony.

"I give you this ring
as a symbol of our vows,
and with all that I am
and all that I have, I honor you.
With this ring, I thee wed. "

Mr. and Mrs!!!

Then off to complete the wedding photos before joining the wedding reception.

Smooth road ahead!

Wishing Craig and Tina blessings beyond measure!

Wedding Ceremonies Which Include Children

Meet Katie, Nick and their son, Henry!  We got together recently to plan their upcoming wedding.  It will be a garden ceremony with family members only, followed by a reception for friends.

Of course, the ceremony will primarily celebrate the love Nick and Katie share.  I love that they will enter the ceremony as the couple who they already are, preceded by Henry.  We are planning the wording to include wedding vows, as well are parental vows.  (Isn't that great?!)

You'll be seeing more as their wedding day arrives.

A Beach Wedding for Megan and Derek

Summer in the Pacific Northwest ... it is certainly the best time for a beach wedding.  Derek and Megan were so fortunate.  Their weather for their wedding was spectacularly beautiful!!!

A mutual friend hand painted the
white Converses they both wore!

T
he sand-and-sea was the theme.  Love the sand- colored suits, the sea blue ties and accents, the venue itself -- The Edgewater House in Olalla.

I
was introduced to the bride and groom through Julie and Charlie, who Kent officiated for three years ago.  (I still have their wedding program -- it was unique and beautifully crafted.)  It was so good to see them and, better yet, to see how happy they continue to be!

This was my first wedding at The Edgewater House.  It truly is at the edge of the water and very beautiful.  Here is an overview of the ceremony site.

I found the arch constructed of driftwood to be charming.  Megan and Derek decided to use beer that had been brewed by a friend for the unity ceremony.  (It was quite good!)

L
ater in the evening, can't you just imagine a fire on the beach.  Some s'mores, some stars, some sweet sounds of the sea.

There are two houses to make the day comfortable.  In fact, Megan stayed there the night before the wedding which really contributed to a more stress-free wedding day.

And, can you believe how big this swing is?

I'm always interested in the dessert choice.  Here they are:  a collection of yummy cupcakes.
Wishing Derek and Megan decades of happiness and health and all good things!!!
L
ooking forward to seeing the photographs of Jessica Oyanagi.  They're going to be wonderful.

Nate + Lauren + Januik Winery = Great Wedding!

I think it is impossible not to have a great wedding at Novelty Hill/Januik Winery.  Dressed in this year's fashionable color, the ladies looked quite elegant in grey.  And Lauren selected orange as her accent color.  It was a great choice.  Check out the reception hall photos.

Isn't this striking?

My photo doesn't show the glass bulbs hanging from the ceiling to advantage.  They were gorgeous.  Great idea and lots of love to actually get them in place (hats off to Emily and her staff members).

And the cake was so simple, yet so beautiful!  So many wonderful touches and such a coherent theme tying it all together.

Congratulations to Lauren and Nate!
Many decades of happiness be yours.
More photos to come from Alex Rubin (these are just a few that I took) and possibly even a video!

Engagement Photos Can Be So Much Fun

Ellen and Paul are a great couple.  Like many bride and grooms of today, they met online.  Ellen "winked" at Paul.  I love this photo.  It is so them!!!

Thanks for Mo Hines.

How to Plan a Wedding Ceremony Using Skype

Jeremy and Nanci live in Fairbanks, Alaska.  They decided to marry in Snohomish, Washington, so as many family members as possible could attend the wedding.  Kent, their officiant, is located in Seattle, Washington.  Everything worked out beautifully thanks to the phone, email and Skype!

I sent the collection of wordings for ceremonies to the bride and groom and they selected what was right for them.   Then, we had a planning session to make sure all would go well on their special day.

The two have adult children who they wanted to have a role in the ceremony so they decided on a sand ceremony.
"Just as the grains of sand are now blended, so are your lives joined. They are combined in such a way they can never be truly separated.  May the union and this connection between all of you bring greater happiness and love into all our lives."

The sand container currently sits nicely in their living room
and receives comments from visitors all the time.
Everything turned out so very well.  Here's what the Mr. and Mrs. though about the experience.
"We wanted an intimate, personal ceremony and assistance in writing our ceremony and vows.  After looking at a few sites and reading your website and talking with you in person, you two felt right for us.  It was clear you truly enjoy what you do.

The suggestion of the sand ceremony was perfect.  Our children loved it.  We truly felt the importance of what it meant to have three of them be a part of the ceremony.

As a result of working with you, our ceremony was perfect for us!

We would tell couples interested in having you officiate for them that you genuinely are there to support and assist the couple, to make sure their wedding is everything "they" would like it to be ... and more!
                          ~ Jeremy and Nanci

Success!  A very happy couples, a very perfect ceremony.  Wishing Nanci, Jeremy and their children much happiness.

Thanks to Bill McNay for the photos.

Love Him, Love Her, Think We'll Get Married In Seattle!

Don't they look happy!  I think "the reveal" is so great.  The bride and groom have a private moment to take in the significance of their impending marriage; to share their joy, their excitement, their anticipation; and, to take photographs that will be treasured for life.

That's what Peter and Lacy decided to do!  Those wise people.

And, they had so much fun.

Then, on to the ceremony at the Washington Athletic Club.

Loved how Lacy included a momento of her mother, who has passed on, in her bouquet.  Isn't this a wonderful idea?

The wedding party was all set.

Personal touches + Personal words = Great Wedding Day!

Here's what Lacy loves about Peter:
"You appreciate how important family is to Peter and how caring he is:  he goes above and beyond for everyone he knows.  He is a person you can always rely on:  he listens with an oopen heart and provides a shoulder for you to lean on.  Peter has a good sense of humor and can always make you laugh.  His laughter is contagious and reminds you of your mother.  He is an overall wonderful man and you love him dearly."
And what Peter loves about Lacy:
"You are totally smitten about Lacy:  she is beautiful and filled with good energy.  She has complete confidence in you, which makes you feel good about yourself.  Just being around Lacy is great:  she is encouraging, has a great sense of humor, and get along with everyone.  Lacy is your best friend and you can't image life without her."
Hand in Hand
Married ... and delighted!!!
Mr. and Mrs!

Also loved the photo booth and guest book, where everyone could create their own message next to their photo.  Always great fun!

Here's one of our pics.
Fell in love with Kent because
he's so cute!!!
Lacy and Peter created a wonderful day, both for themselves and for all their guests.  Many thanks and many blessings for their life together as a married couple!
Here are some of the members of their wedding team:
Visions of Romance for both the photographs and the photo booth
Aria Style for the flowers
