Wet, Wild, Wonderful Wedding at Long Beach II

Newlyweds Alyssa and Nick under an umbrella at Long Beach - Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant

Recently received these photos from Rachel Anne Garcia of Brilliant Imagery.

Remember Nick and Alyssa, the couple who wed at Long Beach on that wet and rainy day ... and who are blissfully happy.  Well, here are some much better photos.

Plus, the two did a follow-up - "trash-the-dress" kinda event but not really trashing the dress.  Some of the photos are from that photo session as well.

Once back from the beach, the ceremony took place inside the Adrift Inn.  It was a simple ceremony with the bride and groom exchanging thoughts about why they loved each other and why they wanted to wed as well as personalized vows.  Very heartfelt!

Alyssa preferred a cake without frosting and the local bakery, Pink Poppy Bakery, was able to fulfill her request.  It turned out beautifully.

T
he next day it was off to the beach once again.  Both Nick and Alyssa were obviously in high spirits.

Alyssa is a very brave soul.  She was willing to rest on the beach and have these wonderful photos taken.

There were also some photos along the board walk and, of course, a photo with seashells.

Then, it was time to warm up and be together.  I really like this image.

Wet, Wild, Wonderful Wedding at Long Beach

OK ... these aren't traditional wedding photos ... but this wasn't a traditional wedding.

Nick and Alyssa really, really, really wanted to be wed on the beach.  The major moments in their relationship seemed to happen there so it would be the perfect place to exchange their vows.

As you can see, the weather was quite variable and the wind quite gusty.  The guys tried to make a protective barrier for Alyssa.

When the wind blow the canopy over, it was a sign to move things inside.

By then umbrellas were turned inside out and everyone was pretty wet.  Even so, Alyssa and Nick are so in love, spirits remained high!

In another post, I'll share photos of the ceremony indoors!

Kent and I arrived a bit early for the wedding, so we braved the weather and walked the boardwalk.  We both love oysters so we also stopped at Slaters in Raymond for really good grilled ones.  All in all a wonderful day!

Where To Have a Beach Wedding in Seattle? Golden Gardens!!

Alisha and Drew at Golden Gardens - Patricia Stimac,Seattle Wedding Officiant
Alisha and Drew are a couple with creative natures.  They live near Golden Gardens and wanted a relaxed wedding ceremony on the beach.

Drew looked dapper in his linen suit and hat.  Alisha was beautiful in her wedding dress and bouquet of stargazer lilies.

It was a spectacular September day ... perfect for spending on the sand and near the Sound.

Alisha selected colors of the sea and shore for the ladies' gowns.  I love these hues.

Drew and his "guys" - Patricia Stimac,Seattle Wedding OfficiantDrew and his attendants were relaxed and having fun.  All were confident it would be a memorable wedding ceremony ... and it was!

The entire wedding party entered from along the shore.  The guests could see the couples approach from quite a distance.  It was a beautiful setting.

It was very important that everyone was included in the ceremony so Drew and Alisha decided to have their wedding rings "warmed" by the love of their family and friends.

As you can see, there was quite a breeze that day so although we were in the midday sun, everyone was quite comfortable.  Alisha and Drew are dedicated to sharing a life in a conscious and loving way.  Their commitment shone through.

There were so many touching moments.  Love was shared -- it radiated from the two!

All was done with care and mindfulness.  It is apparent in the simplicity and gentleness of each gesture.

Words were felt in a profound way.  Here is just one snippet:

If just being in the presence of the other you feel suddenly happy, just being together you feel ecstatic, just the very presence of the other fulfills something deep in your heart…

And so Drew and Alisha became Mr. and Mrs!

All the thinking and dreaming and planning lead to this moment ... and it was time to walk the path of husband and wife, the path of a married couple.

Wishing Alisha and Drew a lifetime of harmony and bliss.

A Beach Wedding for Megan and Derek

Summer in the Pacific Northwest ... it is certainly the best time for a beach wedding.  Derek and Megan were so fortunate.  Their weather for their wedding was spectacularly beautiful!!!

A mutual friend hand painted the
white Converses they both wore!

T
he sand-and-sea was the theme.  Love the sand- colored suits, the sea blue ties and accents, the venue itself -- The Edgewater House in Olalla.

I
was introduced to the bride and groom through Julie and Charlie, who Kent officiated for three years ago.  (I still have their wedding program -- it was unique and beautifully crafted.)  It was so good to see them and, better yet, to see how happy they continue to be!

This was my first wedding at The Edgewater House.  It truly is at the edge of the water and very beautiful.  Here is an overview of the ceremony site.

I found the arch constructed of driftwood to be charming.  Megan and Derek decided to use beer that had been brewed by a friend for the unity ceremony.  (It was quite good!)

L
ater in the evening, can't you just imagine a fire on the beach.  Some s'mores, some stars, some sweet sounds of the sea.

There are two houses to make the day comfortable.  In fact, Megan stayed there the night before the wedding which really contributed to a more stress-free wedding day.

And, can you believe how big this swing is?

I'm always interested in the dessert choice.  Here they are:  a collection of yummy cupcakes.
Wishing Derek and Megan decades of happiness and health and all good things!!!
L
ooking forward to seeing the photographs of Jessica Oyanagi.  They're going to be wonderful.
