Scott and Amy Exchange Their Wedding Vows at the Bear Creek Country Club

What an absolutely perfect day for a wedding!  Sunny skies, warm (but not hot) temperatures, a beautiful setting.  Amy and Scott were so fortunate.   It doesn't get better than this in the Pacific Northwest.

The bride and groom decided to be traditional and not see each other until the ceremony began.  So the majority of the couple's photos took place during the cocktail hour.  The guys particularly appreciated that many of these were taken in the shade! 

And, of course, there needed to be a photo in front of the Bear Creek signature sand traps at the entrance to the Club.  

Love this area.

Wishing Scott and Amy all the happiness and joy in the world.  It is always a gift to find your life partner and to have someone to share everyday experiences.

Love Him, Love Her, Think We'll Get Married In Seattle!

Don't they look happy!  I think "the reveal" is so great.  The bride and groom have a private moment to take in the significance of their impending marriage; to share their joy, their excitement, their anticipation; and, to take photographs that will be treasured for life.

That's what Peter and Lacy decided to do!  Those wise people.

And, they had so much fun.

Then, on to the ceremony at the Washington Athletic Club. 

 

Loved how Lacy included a momento of her mother, who has passed on, in her bouquet.  Isn't this a wonderful idea?

 The wedding party was all set.

Here's what Lacy loves about Peter:

"You appreciate how important family is to Peter and how caring he is:  he goes above and beyond for everyone he knows.  He is a person you can always rely on:  he listens with an oopen heart and provides a shoulder for you to lean on.  Peter has a good sense of humor and can always make you laugh.  His laughter is contagious and reminds you of your mother.  He is an overall wonderful man and you love him dearly."

And what Peter loves about Lacy:

"You are totally smitten about Lacy:  she is beautiful and filled with good energy.  She has complete confidence in you, which makes you feel good about yourself.  Just being around Lacy is great:  she is encouraging, has a great sense of humor, and get along with everyone.  Lacy is your best friend and you can't image life without her."

Time for the ceremony -- the ring bearer and flower girl did so well.  Aren't they the best?

Bear Creek Country Club has a beautiful tent and is a sweet place to wed.

Everyone was so happy ... Kelly and Bryan's love was apparent!

The ceremony was very lovely and included a unity sand ceremony.

Love butterfly releases. 
Such a natural way to celebrate love.

This was followed by a butterfly release!  This is so much fun.  It is a ceremony element that remains forever hopeful.  Just the idea of the butterflies carrying the wishes for the bride and groom's happiness and love to the heavens is a sweet one.

At the reception, the Candy Bar was a big hit!

Kelly and Bryan, along with their guests, danced the night away to the music DJ'd by Sounds Unlimited.  Wishing them a lifetime of great softball games (that's how they met), great dancing, and a great love.

Matt and Leticia -- You're Off to Great Places

A "dreams and castles" wedding.

What an amazing wedding all around!

Matt and Leticia are living in Germany but decided to wed at Thornewood Castle in Lakewood.  We planned their ceremony and completed premarital preparation via Skype (woo hoo technology!).

So when we actually met (a week before the ceremony), it felt like we already knew each other and we were greeting long-lost friends.

The ceremony was a combination of traditional, funny, and poignant.  Traditional words, Dr. Seuss vows, sci-fi playfulness.  It was so them.

Both heartwarming and lighthearted.

Matt is full of surprises.  He wrote a love letter to Leticia and had is best man, Bobak, delivered it just before the ceremony.  A very sweet moment.

The day was perfect -- a little overcast so it was great for photographs -- yet warm enough for comfort.

Since it was a destination wedding, most of the guests travels from the East Coast and beyond to be there.  One of the friendliest and most fun gathering of people we have met.

Leather bound  and a true treasure.

A very special addition to the ceremony was the Krutar family bible.  VERY OLD and so amazing.

Another unforgetable moment was the song performed by Katie and Beatrice, both opera singers.

 

After the ceremony, everyone was jumping for joy!

Isn't this a great group of people?  

It is the time machine.  I think these two will go far.

Then it was time for cake!  Yes, they are Doctor Who fans!

Mike and Veronica Marry at Jardin del Sol

 


August is THE most popular month to wed in the Pacific Northwest.  Mike and Veronica had a toasty wedding day ... the bride and groom stayed cool and looked radiant in the sunshine. 

 

Veronica prepared in the bride's room.  It's a sweet space on the second floor so the "ladies" can keep an eye on what is happening on the grounds, too. 

And I loved this photo of the shoes. So important that they are both good looking and good fitting!

The guys tended to be outside, meeting guests and enjoying the fresh air. They were ready for the big event.

And so were the ladies.  The black color theme brightened by the yellow was just the right combination for an elegant look but one that suited a summer wedding in a garden.

Together, all was in ready for the ceremony.

The nuptials took place in a lovely open area surrounded by greenery.  It provides a sense of privacy and is simply a beautiful place to be.  There is an arbor which frames the bride and groom, with a view of the meadow beyond. It really is pretty.  (I like it because it is a fairly shaded area and so comfortable.)

I loved to see Mike and Veronica taking a moment to enjoy their day.  You can never have too many kisses!!

This is one of my favorite places:  a shaded walkway between the reception area and the ceremony site.

And at day's end, it is time for Mike and Veronica to take their leave.  A very loving couple -- wishing them a long-lived marriage and a happy life together.
