Andy & Ashley Wed at Bastyr Chapel

May is Seattle can be a great time of the year to wed. The flowers are abloom and there are some amazing, beautiful days.

Ashley and Andy were lucky -- not only in love -- their wedding day was spectacular! So they could be outdoors and John Chin, their photographer, was able to capture some great photos.

The columns at the entrance of Bastyr Chapel were just the right place to exchange a kiss.

Andy and Ashley enjoyed the ceremony ceremony process:

"It has been the most enriching part of the wedding planning so far, because it is like a sense of calm in the midst of all of the chaos. Both of you are so relaxing to be around, and it was one of the smoothest parts of our wedding planning.

When I re-read the ceremony recently, it just brought me back to the reason we are doing all of this planning and it kept me focused on the reason for our wedding day. It is nice to reflect on that!"

The ceremony did turn out very well ... and, of course, the chapel itself is dramatic. After the wedding party entered, the oversized chapel doors closed, the bride's music began and Ashley and her father, Bill, processed down the aisle.

The flower girls and ring bearers were adorable and well behaved. They added a element of sweetness and innocence that was so endearing.

Kent was all smiles as Andy and Ashley exchanged their first kiss as a married couple. Always a tender and happy moment.

Unity candle lighting was made for Bastyr Chapel. The altar is impressive and the candles are assured to remain lit -- a good omen of a healthy and happy union.

The altar is also a great place to sign the marriage license.

Mr. and Mrs. have a good start to their new life together!
