Thank you for thinking of us, but... Pat Stimac is no longer with us. She joined her angels July 20, 2016 after a two year bout with cancer. Kent Buttars stopped officiating weddings at the end of 2017. Thanks to our thousands of couples over the last 20 years for the happiness they brought, and to our many valued friends in the wedding industry.

Unique Wedding Guest Book!
I love when couple's select something from their lives and incorporate it into their wedding. In this case, Adam and Kim chose a beautiful wooden paddle and invited their guests to sign it. Creative, fun and memorable!

Wet, Wild, Wonderful Wedding at Long Beach
OK ... these aren't traditional wedding photos ... but this wasn't a traditional wedding.
Nick and Alyssa really, really, really wanted to be wed on the beach. The major moments in their relationship seemed to happen there so it would be the perfect place to exchange their vows.
As you can see, the weather was quite variable and the wind quite gusty. The guys tried to make a protective barrier for Alyssa.
By then umbrellas were turned inside out and everyone was pretty wet. Even so, Alyssa and Nick are so in love, spirits remained high!
In another post, I'll share photos of the ceremony indoors!
Kent and I arrived a bit early for the wedding, so we braved the weather and walked the boardwalk. We both love oysters so we also stopped at Slaters in Raymond for really good grilled ones. All in all a wonderful day!

Guys in Kilts, Gals in Green, A Sure Recipe for a Celtic Wedding!
I love and
cherish you ... for the rest of my life.
And, so Adam and Kimberly wed at DeLille Cellars on a magnificent October day.
Kilts were the dress code of the day.
Yup, guys can have sexy legs too, as you see.
The ceremony took place in front of the fireplace so it was nice and cozy. And Kent, who was officiating, got a chance to wear his clan colors too.
Don't they look like one very happy couple!
The reception had a woodland feel and dinner was served on the patio.
It had a very airy look.
Love this trend for chocolate wedding cakes! (OK, both Kent and I love, love, love chocolate.)
Thank you so much for helping us make this the wedding we
have been hoping for.
~ Adam and Kim
Many thanks to Tasha Owen Photography for the images. A Platinum Event for the catering and coordination. Corey Feist for DJing. Kevin Ault for the bagpiping.

Ryan and Corinna to Wed at Weyerhaeuser Estate
I'm so excited about Corinna and Ryan's wedding. First, because of the couple.
Second, because I've already had a chance to meet their moms and really enjoyed their company.
Third, because this summer is the first summer I'll officiate at Weyerhaeuser Estate.
Corinna and Ryan have been together for six years, got engaged over
Valentine's weekend in San Francisco (isn't that romantic?), and plan to wed in the garden at Weyerhaeuser Estate overlooking
the water in September. That is a great time of the year so it should
be absolutely beautiful (fingers crossed for great weather!).
Congratulations on your engagement. May this be a wonderful time for you both.

Bicyclists and Blanca Lake Wilderness Proposal!
Meet Ashley and Adam. At our first meeting, they biked to our place. Of course, Kent loved them immediately (as did I) because he too shares a passion for human-powered transport.
This is a photo of the two on their bicycling tour in Belgium and Amsterdam, which was a fantastic experience!
It is obvious the two are destined to be together. Let me tell you a bit about the proposal.
Now the hike to Blanca Lake isn't long, but it's not easy. For the first three
miles the trail ruthlessly climbs 2700 feet. Then, the trail advances up a
slope of luxuriant old-growth Douglas-fir and hemlock forests. After another three miles of incessant switchbacking and climbing, there is a small gap and then you start
dropping to
the big cirque housing big Blanca Lake.
So why was Adam being
excessive, carrying an inflatable raft along with all the overnight backpacking equipment. The reason became clear: he
used the raft to row the two of them to a secluded meadow on the other side of the lake ... and then he proposed.
Now that is going to great lengths to proclaim your love. Good job, Adam!
The two are planning to wed in September in Leavenworth, of course.
Very happy for the two!
