"Dear family and friends, we have gathered together to celebrate love. It is with thoughtfulness and a deep realization of their commitment to each other that Kathy and Carin have chosen to stand before you today and make this declaration of love and loyalty on their 17th anniversary of their commitment to each other."And so their wedding ceremony began.
I truly enjoyed meeting Carin and Kathy ... and their family and friends.
The two crafted beautiful wording and two of Carin's nieces, who traveled from California to be in Monroe, song a medley of four love songs.
Kathy and Carin exchanged their wedding vows at the home of Travis, a close mutual friend. They are standing in front of some amazing 35-year-old blueberry bushes that would be the envy of any gardener.
And check out these cake toppers. A relative of Carin's brought them from her native country, The Netherlands. They are so cute!!!!
The "brides" are sitting atop an almond cake, another Netherlands tradition.
Wishing the two another 17 sweet, sweet years together ... and then another .... and another!
