One Plus One Equals True Love!

There really is something about love that is magical.  When I see couples walking hand in hand or stopping for a hug or a kiss, it warms my heart.  (OK, PDA of this sort is fine by me.)

Jeremy and Brittney are definitely in love!  We got together recently to focus on the wording of their ceremony.  Of course, we get to hear how the two of them met and fell in love.  (We really like that part.)

The two are going to celebrate their good fortune this fall at Hidden Meadows.  So happy they have found their "one" and looking forward to continuing to co-create a perfectly them ceremony.

Matt and Aleah's Wedding -- Photographs That Capture Their Day

The ladies were all primped and looking beautiful.











The men was quite dashing and ready for the big event.






Hidden Meadows has so many areas that can be settings for memorable wedding images.  It was obviously a Pacific Northwest perfect day too.

Loved the chalkboard list of the guys and gals in the wedding party, as well as a short overview of the evening.





Flowers hanging from shepherd's hooks along the aisle were just the right touch.









All was in ready for the ceremony:
  rings tied to a heart, naturally,
  and the sand and containers in wait 
  for the unity sand ceremony.








When the ceremony takes place outdoors, sand is a wonderful alternative to a unity candle lighting.






 

Everyone was so happy for the bride and groom.  Cheers and applause all around!











Then, time to make it all legal.  This is one of those very special moments.  The public ceremony was complete.  Matt and Aleah have a quieter moment to take it all in.  The two are then socially and legally married.

Ian Weds Olivia at Hidden Meadows

The day was brilliant.  Blue skies, a few billowly white clouds, sun, warmth  -- it was if the Mother Earth was celebrating the union of Olivia and Ian.

Bride and groom were glowing!  And you can just see the love between the two.

The groomsmen gathered and just enjoyed each other's company before the ceremony.  

(We help coordinate with the other wedding professionals before the ceremony and organize the procession so the wedding party can just enjoy themselves.)

The ladies were taking in the moment too.  I love this photo!

Olivia looked stunning!  Her dress, hair, jewelry, makeup --- it all came together beautifully.

Each wrote their own vows.

Here is an excerpts of their words:

Ian said to Olivia:
You are my sun
You are my moon
You are the stillness in the night
You made me who I am
You changed me for the better
Now my heart is unlocked
And it is yours forever

We will be until the end of time

Olivia expressed to Ian:

The love we have is indescribable to the world.

There have been bumps, rocks, cliffs and mountains

  on our journey to this day

which brings our new beginning to our present and future life,

  making a new past as well.

We still hold hand in hand, heart in heart, after all this time.

And so the two were wed!  May their love open the way to share the amazing experiences of daily life.

Eric and Nicki Wed at Hidden Meadows

Rain or shine ... or any type of weather in between ... couples are assured of a great wedding day at Hidden Meadows.

With dramatic skies outside, Nicki and Eric wed inside.  The guests were comfortable while enjoying a view of the ceremony and the land beyond.

Nicki looked amazing in her gown from American Rose Bridal in Poulsbo.

More parents are escorting brides down the aisle.  I love how Nicki's folks are holding hands at this poignant moment.

The ceremony began with a lovely reading by Brother Thomas à Kempis:

Love is a mighty power, a great and complete good.

Love alone lightens every burden, 

  and makes rough places smooth. 
Nothing is sweeter than love, nothing stronger, 

  nothing higher, nothing wider,
Nothing more pleasant,
Nothing fuller or better in heaven or earth. 

Words of promise and inspiration, words of possibilities and hope.  A great way to begin life together.

All went well and there was obvious delight when the two were married!

And it always good to just take in the moment and enjoy a kiss.

We wish Nicki and Eric the very best.  A solid roof over a warm home in which to share their love, no matter the weather!

Hidden Meadows Hosts Andrea and Adam's Wedding

What a beautiful day for a wedding!

The bride and groom had time before the ceremony to take photographs at many scenic sites on the grounds. Above is the covered patio where guests enjoyed refreshments after the ceremony and to the side is the breezeway that the guests enter by.

Scheduling the photographs before the ceremony still creates the "initial reveal," which is a moment not to be missed. It also works out so well both for having leisurely enjoying some time together before the ceremony and for capturing all those precious moments.

The ceremony itself took place in front of the gazebo. Adam and Andrea's love was apparent to all. (Smile!)

Mr. and Mrs. exited and took a ride together in a horse-drawn carriage. How romantic is that!!!

We hope their path of marriage is fulfilling, long lived and romantic!

Stephanie and Reese - A Beautiful Wedding at Hidden Meadows

The Snohomish Valley takes your breath away with great sunsets.

Every time of the year is a wonderful time to wed.  In the Pacific Northwest, summer is the favorite time.  Particularly, the last weekend of July (I've heard it is statistically the weekend with the least possibility of rain).  For Reese and Stephanie, their wedding day was clear and sunny...and the sunset was spectacular!

What I remember most clearly from this ceremony is the "words of wisdom" from Rob, Stephanie’s dad.  He explained to her that in every relationship one person is like the balloon and the other is the string. In this relationship, Reese is the balloon, he is the dreamer, and Stephanie is the string, she keeps the two on task and grounded in reality. They are a good match!  I think this photo says it all.

Ryan and Natalie's Wedding at Hidden Meadows

The day was amazing!!! March was in its "lamb" phase ... to the delight of everyone, especially the couple, Natalie and Ryan.


Here are their words:

THANK YOU! We are so pleased with absolutely everything! It's amazing how you plan for the day months in advance with the hope that it will turn out. In our case, it did!  Thank you Pat. You are amazing and we enjoyed every minute of working with you.

Ryan and Natalie had decided to enroll in our premarital preparation, which was a good experience and gave us an opportunity to learn about each other before we began planning for their ceremony. I was just so happy for them!

Family and friends happily gathered at Hidden Meadows to witness and celebrate their wedding vows. The hall was festive and filled to capacity, the words crafted with care to reflect them, the music inspired.

Flowers were laid precisely for the bride, with great care and attention.

The anticipation of Natalie actually walking down the aisle with her father was irrepressible.



Tears of joy and words of love were expressed as the rings were exchanged and the vows were sealed.





Then, it was time to relax and celebrate. Guests made their way to the reception hall and the wedding party stayed together, more photographs were taken and all shared the joy of the moment.






Ryan and Natalie had a chance to just be together and take in the moment before the wedding party formally entered the reception.












At the end of the evening, guests gathered, sparklers in hand, to see the couple off.












A sweet end to a wonderful day!
