Corbett and Jason - aren't they adorable? - are pretty excited to be getting married! And Kent is very excited to be officiating for them.

Here's a bit of their love story:

We met working at Target in downtown Seattle.  I (Corbett) had just moved to Seattle from California in March 2013 and started working at Target, while Jason transferred into my store when he moved here from Vegas in July of 2013.  We have been together since November 2013 and got engaged after a very quiet, but surprise, proposal in our home in March 2014.  We will be getting married at Robinswood House in April and are so excited to have Pat and Kent's help in creating our ceremony and officiating on our wedding day!

So happy for the bride and groom.  There is nothing better than finding that "Person" to share life with.

One Plus One Equals True Love!

There really is something about love that is magical.  When I see couples walking hand in hand or stopping for a hug or a kiss, it warms my heart.  (OK, PDA of this sort is fine by me.)

Jeremy and Brittney are definitely in love!  We got together recently to focus on the wording of their ceremony.  Of course, we get to hear how the two of them met and fell in love.  (We really like that part.)

The two are going to celebrate their good fortune this fall at Hidden Meadows.  So happy they have found their "one" and looking forward to continuing to co-create a perfectly them ceremony.

Grand Ridge Manor to Host Andres and Danielle's Wedding!

Love began at the gym for Andres and Danielle.  He was working there and Danielle was taking a small step into gym life.  It was perfect!  Danielle soon made friends with several ladies preparing for a body building competition and decided to do the same.




A great incentive was seeing that big, beautiful smile on Andres' face every time she worked it.  Now that's inspiration.

Soon the two were making small talk near the vending machine, which led to lunch ... and, well, the rest is history.

In a few weeks, the two will become "husband and wife" at Grand Ridge Manor and will begin their life together as a married couple.  Wishing them the very best!!

Destination: The Quintessa on Whidbey Island Occasion: Alexi and Matt's Wedding

I'm so looking forward to this wedding!  

First the background.  Matt proposed to Alexi on Christmas Day at their cabin on California's Pacific Coast.  Sigh ... that sounds so romantic.

The two decided on a destination wedding for about 40 people at The Quintessa on Whidbey Island.  This is a vacation house just a bit from the Clinton Ferry.  It is huge - with nine bedrooms and a cottage - so everyone will be together yet will have some private space.

It will give people a chance to relax, get to know each other better and to celebrate this very important day in Alexi and Matt's life.

Watson, Beloved Pet, Announces Engagement!

Isn't Watson doing a great job of letting Erin and Brian's families and friends know of their upcoming wedding?  Thought this is an adorable "save the date" announcement.

Obviously, Watson is a integral part of the family.

The two plan to wed in March at The Edgewater Hotel.

As their wedding website explains, the two were introduced on a sunny spring Sunday at Green Lake, through Des's friend and then-roommate Jamie.

(Since we live in the Green Lake area, we are partial to couples enjoying a first meeting at the park, getting married near the lake, enjoying a romantic walk ... it is truly a lovely and loving area.)

After eating an afternoon breakfast and sharing a bottle of hard cider at a classy establishment called Duck Island (hmmm ... others have described it as divey, low key, laid back, kind of rustic, funky).  In any case, it became clear that the two were on the road to "Twue Wuv."

Or, you know, maybe it would just be fun to get together again to grab some cheesecake and play pool.



So happy and excited to be officiating for Desiree and Jett!  We're getting together soon to begin planning a ceremony perfect for them.

Neighbors to Wed at the Axis Pioneer Square in September!

I feel so very fortunate to be officiating for my new neighbors - Jonathan and Alanna.  

Kent and I live in such a great neighborhood.  People are friendly and interact often, there are Easter Egg hunts, holiday cookie exchanges, summer potlucks.  And our "hood" attracts the nicest people, like these two.

Alanna and Jonathan are planning to wed at the relatively new venue - the Axis Pioneer Square - in September.  It is going to be so much fun.

Cherry Blossoms, Gas Works Park, Loving Couple = Perfect Engagement Photos

We just met with Kristin and Mike to plan their wedding ceremony ... and they shared this engagement photo with us.

The two will wed at Trinity Tree Farm in July.  Kent will be officiating for them and it will his first time performing a ceremony at this relatively new venue.  Pretty exciting!

Certainly, there are many more great things in Mike and Kristin's future.

Ryan and Corinna to Wed at Weyerhaeuser Estate

I'm so excited about Corinna and Ryan's wedding.  First, because of the couple.

Second, because I've already had a chance to meet their moms and really enjoyed their company.

Third, because this summer is the first summer I'll officiate at Weyerhaeuser Estate.

Corinna and Ryan have been together for six years, got engaged over Valentine's weekend in San Francisco (isn't that romantic?), and plan to wed in the garden at Weyerhaeuser Estate overlooking the water in September.  That is a great time of the year so it should be absolutely beautiful (fingers crossed for great weather!).

 

Congratulations on your engagement. May this be a wonderful time for you both.

Michael and Liana Plan to Wed at the Woodmark Hotel

This couple - Liana and Michael -- are Northwest natives.  They both grew up in the area and both attended Western Washington University.  It wasn't until after college that they met, when the time was right for them.  

 

Liana and Michael have been together since 2011 and became engaged in February 2013 while on vacation in Hawaii.  The two recently bought their first house and are excited to start their lives there. 

Kent and I are very much looking forward to co-creating an amazing wedding ceremony with Liana and Michael.

Lisa and Jeff to Exchange Their Wedding Vows at the Chapel on Swan's Trail

Jeff and Lisa have been together three wonderful years and the idea of marriage seemed in their future.  They decided to spend the Fourth of July weekend in Long Beach, Washington, with family.

On the ride there, Lisa found an appetizer on the Internet -- a fruit kabob of strawberry, pineapple and banana chunks, half of which was dipped in chocolate.   She shared the photo with Jeff because she knew he would like it too. 

The next morning, Jeff woke up at the crack of dawn and said he was going to get some breakfast treats.  While Lisa slept, he went to the store and picked up chocolate, strawberries, pineapple, bananas along with little skewers.  Guess what he wanted to make?

Once everything was assembled, Jeff woke up Lisa, explaining he wanted to serve her breakfast in bed.  Lisa was instantly awake. Jeff presented the yummy fruit kabobs.

Next came chocolate-covered strawberries.  And the pan they were served on had this written in chocolate:  "Will U Marry Me?"

Of course, Lisa said YES!!! 

The two will wed at the Chapel on Swan's Trail in Snohomish.

Where to Propose in Winter? At White Pass, of course!

Derek and Kayla has an interesting proposal story:  on the three-year anniversary of their first date, they went snowboarding with two of their friends.  Around 4:00pm, it was time to warm up and they decided to go to the bar at the lodge.  The four were not exactly looking their best.  They were soaked to the bone and their hair was standing up in all directions.

Derek's friend knew what was about to happen.  He yelled out: "Ladies and Gentlemen! May I have your attention please!? My buddy Derek has something to say to his Lady Friend!!" 

As quiet settled, Derek got down on one knee.  He explained how much he loves Kayla, how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and how nothing would make him happier than if Kayla would become his wife.   

He then opened a little box and asked, "Kayla will you please marry me?" 

Kayla remembers thinking, "YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!" 

But for some reason her voice was not working. Finally, she got out the "yes" and the place erupted with loud applause, whistles and cheers while the two kissed! 

Wow ... what a moment.  It was a lot to take in.  The two were engaged!!  

OK ... time to enjoy the free drinks and then back to the mountain.  Kayla, of course was very conscious of the ring on her finger.  What a great day.

The two intend to make it legal and to celebrate their good fortune at the Monte Cristo Ballroom early next year.

Easa and Jessica to Wed at the Woodland Park Zoo!

The bride and groom shared one of their engagement photos with us that they also used as  Christmas cards.  (Yes, I do see that beautiful tree in the background.)

They are planning a fall wedding with the ceremony and reception to be held at the Rain Forest Pavilion.  Jessica and Easa are excited about all the possibilities.



And, so are we.  The couple would prefer that we officiate as a couple, which is something we always love!  It is going to be a wonderful experience.
