Love Dessert Tables at Weddings! Cake and more!!

Jessica and Easa cutting their wedding cake - Patriciat Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant

So excited to receive photos of Easa and Jessica's wedding!  They married at the Woodland Park Zoo in October.  And you'll be seeing several upcoming blogs on their event.

First of all, the Zoo is amazing in October.  The trees around the Rainforest Pavilion are covered with bright lights ... making it a magical place to be.

Second, the couple decided on various desserts, rather than a traditional wedding cake.

My husband, Kent, always loves a chocolate option so he was definitely happy.  Check out the other choices, including pies.

There was, of course, cake for the couple to cut.  Doesn't this look delicious!

Wishing the two a very sweet and lasting life together.

My Wedding Diamond Member Award!

Last year MyWedding.com, a resource website for  engaged couples, gave A Heavenly Ceremony a "Best of 2013" award in the wedding officiant category.   It was the first time such an award was given and it was based on a number of variables, two of which were all the "Loves" we received and the kind words that were shared about us on the My Wedding website.

Recently, we learned we now have Diamond Member status, which is given to the most highly regarded wedding professionals in various categories.  We are once again positioned to possibly win an award in 2014 too.

Kent and I strive to provide excellent service to all the couples we officiate for.  Getting to know the brides and grooms we officiate for and to see them happy on their wedding day is a true joy.

We also realize that we interact with some very wonderful people:  industry folk and engaged couples.  The kindnesses we receive are a gift, which makes continuing to officiate an honor.

Thank you all!

Monte Cristo Ballroom Wedding Planned for the Fall

Lenae and Brett plan to wed at the Monte Cristo Ballroom in October - Kent Buttars, Seattle, Wedding Officiant

All couples are excited about their engagement and upcoming wedding ... and their enthusiasm is always contagious!

The day Kent and I met with Lenae, she was going on to check out a wedding dress that she suspected would be the ONE!  Double happiness!!

Kent will be officiating for Lenae and Brett in Everett at the Monte Cristo Ballroom.  I'm delighted to be helping them create a wedding ceremony perfect for them.

So happy for Brett and Lenae.  Wishing them the best during their engagement!

And thanks to Genesa Richards Photography for the engagement photo.

This team - Elliott and Barbara - is Going All the Way to the Finals!

Seahawks' wins and being engaged bring smiles to Barbara and Elliott - Patricia Stimac and Kent Buttars, Seattle Wedding Officiants
A January wedding is in the plans for Barbara and Elliott at the Woodmark Hotel.

Don't the two look so very happy!  (Sure part of that is because of their recent engagement and perhaps another part is due to the Seahawks winning on the day the photo was taken?)

The two invited Kent and I to officiate as a couple, which we love to do (when our schedules permit).

This is going to be so much fun.

Looking forward to co-creating a wonderful ceremony together.  So glad Elliott and Barbara found each other.

Watson, Beloved Pet, Announces Engagement!

Save the Date announced by Watson, Brian and Erin's dog - Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant
Isn't Watson doing a great job of letting Erin and Brian's families and friends know of their upcoming wedding?  Thought this is an adorable "save the date" announcement.

Obviously, Watson is a integral part of the family.

Congrats, of course, to Brian and Erin!  We recently met to plan their ceremony and had a great time.  Looking forward to April.

Thanks to Carol Harrold for the engagement photo.

Wedding Shoes: As Varied As the Couples Who Wed

Rubber boots on the bride and bridesmaids - Kent Buttars, Seattle Wedding Officiant
Niki Desautels
I was out in the garden today and wore my insulated short rubber boots.  They were so comfortable and warm.  Unlike my tall rubber boots which are ever so much fashionable - navy blue with white polka dots - and so easy to put on, these were a bit difficult.  I actually had to sit down and slow work them over my heels.

The experience brought to mind this photo:  yes, it is obviously taken in Seattle and is just such a fun photo!
