Love Dessert Tables at Weddings! Cake and more!!

So excited to receive photos of Easa and Jessica's wedding!  They married at the Woodland Park Zoo in October.  And you'll be seeing several upcoming blogs on their event.

First of all, the Zoo is amazing in October.  The trees around the Rainforest Pavilion are covered with bright lights ... making it a magical place to be.

Second, the couple decided on various desserts, rather than a traditional wedding cake.






My husband, Kent, always loves a chocolate option so he was definitely happy.  Check out the other choices, including pies.

There was, of course, cake for the couple to cut.  Doesn't this look delicious!

And this is one of the many kisses Jessica and Easa shared throughout the evening!

Easa and Jessica to Wed at the Woodland Park Zoo!

The bride and groom shared one of their engagement photos with us that they also used as  Christmas cards.  (Yes, I do see that beautiful tree in the background.)

They are planning a fall wedding with the ceremony and reception to be held at the Rain Forest Pavilion.  Jessica and Easa are excited about all the possibilities.



And, so are we.  The couple would prefer that we officiate as a couple, which is something we always love!  It is going to be a wonderful experience.

Planning a Wedding at the Woodland Park Rose Garden and Zoo

Kent and I live near the Woodland Park Rose Garden and Zoo so we are always delighted to officiate there. Last week the Assocoation of Bridal Consultants (an organization we belong to)meeting was hosted by the Zoo.

There was a tour of the numerous places to wed on the grounds. On course, there is the classic wedding in the Rose Garden with the magnificent grand entrance from the gate around the fountain to the Gazebo. And the intimate Butterflies and Blooms or Jaguar Cove celebrations.


The Beech Grove offers an expansive lawn shaded from beech trees. We've also officiated at the Taiga Viewing Shelter and near the eagles, as well.


We are looking forward to officiating at several of the other sites: the exotic African and Thai Villages, the serene Elk Overlook and the Tundra Center. The ABC meeting was also an introduction to Lancer Catering, and we were so impressed. Such an improvement in food quality and service. It was a great evening!
