Riccardo Marries Brenda at the Hotel 1000

What a beautiful day for a wedding!  When Seattle is sunny, there is no place like it.

Brenda and Riccardo were all smiles. 

The groom and bride stood by their sons.

Their wedding is a marriage of two adults and a union of four young men.  All four - Enzo, Marco, Mateo and Maxx - gained an additional person in their lives who loves them and is committed to providing for and caring for them.

 

The ceremony was an intimate affair at the Hotel 1000, a wonderful setting.
There was a moment of prayer.

A unique reminder of a special day.

This was followed by a family ceremony.  Each person selected a rock to represent them and carefully placed it in the vase.  Then, Brenda and Riccardo poured sand to fill the spaces, signifying the love and support that is in the boys' lives.

 

Personal vows were exchanged and then Maxx presented the rings.

And the vows were sealed with a KISS!

"We were looking for an officiant who would help provide the religious portion of the marriage ceremony for us and also help us incorporate our children in the ceremony, which was a big priority. We were also looking for someone who would work with us to create the right ceremony, not just use a cookie cutter version. We had a ceremony that felt like "us" and was deeply meaningful to us.

Hotel 1000 Hosts Wedding Celebration of David and Vickie

One of the most interesting and playful parts of officiating is hearing how couples meet and "fall in love."  For David and Vickie their story began at the Karma Lounge.  Isn't that just too perfect!!!

They wanted a ceremony that would acknowledge family, have some traditional elements yet be genuine and heartfelt. 

 
The ceremony and reception both took place at the Hotel 100, right in the heart of downtown Seattle.  The light in the atrium was "heavenly."


Dave's son and daughter sat in the front row.  The couple wanted to recognize what a huge part their children play in their lives and how proud they are of both of them.  (Weddings are such a great time to show appreciation for those we love.)

There was so much to be happy about.  Good feelings and joy permeated the service.  Isn't that great?

Flowers were provided by Melissa of Terra Bella Flowers.  (I love this connection too.  David frequently buys Vickie flowers at Terra Bella, which is an organic florist.  Melissa naturally created the flowers for their wedding.)

And Jubilee Cupcakes and Vintage Candy added the icing on the cake, so to speak.

I Love You in 1000 Ways

Steve and Mandy celebrated their wedding at Hotel 1000. The location was perfect since the couple share a love of architecture and design and Steve is one of the owners of this fabulous addition to downtown Seattle. The couple are so great together, thankful in a 1000 ways for the miracle of their shared love.







The rehearsal (which I love because we get to walk through everything and everyone in the wedding has a chance to meet) went smoothly, followed by a wine-and-cheese get together in the Grand Suite. Loved the cake replicating their beloved vintage T-bird from Mike's Amazing Cakes ... truly amazing!


The ceremony itself was an elegant and warm occasion with family and close friends gathering from as far away as Texas!




The wording was fairly traditional with a beautiful candle lighting and heartfelt vows.

Steve and Mandy were very pleased with celebration:

Thank you so much for a lovely ceremony! Everyone talked about it all evening. You will always have a place in our hearts.

And Steve and Mandy will have a place in mine. Of course, the get-away car, was a real T-bird!
