Peter and Tiffiny's Wedding Ceremony - A Family Affair

Tiffiny and Peter's wedding ceremony at the Salish Lodge - Wedding ceremony officiated by Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant

April brings more than showers: it brings wonderful weddings too.  And this April day was absolutely perfect!

Tiffiny and Peter, along with their immediate families, gathered on the Falls Terrace of the Salish Lodge for their intimate ceremony.

The candles on the table are from their parents' wedding ceremony.  Now that is tradition.  And each year on their anniversary they renew their vows and relight the candle.  Peter and Tiffiny plan to do the same.
Words of wisdom from bride and groom's parents during their ceremony - Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant

The two asked their parents to share some words of wisdom  with them.  The bride and groom are obviously close to their folks and it really meant a lot to Peter and Tiffiny.

The bride and groom exchanged traditional wedding vows
along with personal words expressing their love for each other.
There is certainly nothing more heart-warming than that!

Neighbors to Wed at the Axis Pioneer Square in September!

Jonthan and Alanna wedding to be officiated by Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant
I feel so very fortunate to be officiating for my new neighbors - Jonathan and Alanna.

Kent and I live in such a great neighborhood.  People are friendly and interact often, there are Easter Egg hunts, holiday cookie exchanges, summer potlucks.  And our "hood" attracts the nicest people, like these two.

Alanna and Jonathan are planning to wed at the relatively new venue - the Axis Pioneer Square - in September.  It is going to be so much fun.

Thanks to Catherine Abegg of Calima Portraits.  (Alanna and Jonathan said that they had a great time doing their engagement photo session.)

If you are a "neighbor" (we are located in the Phinneywood area) and are looking for an officiant, give us a call at 206.789.9788 or contact us through our website.  Let's create even more links and an even more wonderful place to live.

Wet, Wild, Wonderful Wedding at Long Beach II

Newlyweds Alyssa and Nick under an umbrella at Long Beach - Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant

Recently received these photos from Rachel Anne Garcia of Brilliant Imagery.

Remember Nick and Alyssa, the couple who wed at Long Beach on that wet and rainy day ... and who are blissfully happy.  Well, here are some much better photos.

Plus, the two did a follow-up - "trash-the-dress" kinda event but not really trashing the dress.  Some of the photos are from that photo session as well.

Once back from the beach, the ceremony took place inside the Adrift Inn.  It was a simple ceremony with the bride and groom exchanging thoughts about why they loved each other and why they wanted to wed as well as personalized vows.  Very heartfelt!

Alyssa preferred a cake without frosting and the local bakery, Pink Poppy Bakery, was able to fulfill her request.  It turned out beautifully.

T
he next day it was off to the beach once again.  Both Nick and Alyssa were obviously in high spirits.

Alyssa is a very brave soul.  She was willing to rest on the beach and have these wonderful photos taken.

There were also some photos along the board walk and, of course, a photo with seashells.

Then, it was time to warm up and be together.  I really like this image.

Cherry Blossoms, Gas Works Park, Loving Couple = Perfect Engagement Photos

We just met with Kristin and Mike to plan their wedding ceremony ... and they shared this engagement photo with us.

Love it!

The two will wed at Trinity Tree Farm in July.  Kent will be officiating for them and it will his first time performing a ceremony at this relatively new venue.  Pretty exciting!

Certainly, there are many more great things in Mike and Kristin's future.

Sister Love Shone Through At Joanne & Johannes' Wedding

Joanne stands with four sisters on her wedding day - Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant
On Sunday, I officiated for this wonderful couple at the Rosehill Community Center.

The bride, Joanne, stood radiant before family and friends along with her four sisters.  It was a very special ceremony and I'm eager to share more photos when they are available.

The Mr. and Mrs. are on their way to Brazil for their honeymoon.  Isn't that wonderful.  Wishing the two the very best.

Thanks to Kurt Smith for the image!

Gluten Free Cakes Can Look Good and Taste Good!

Gluten Free Wedding Cake - Posted by Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant

L
ast week I was talking with my neighbor, Lachlan, who knows I prefer to eat gluten free.  He explained that he shops at the Ballard Farmers Market and that he met Phebe Ross, the founder of nuflours, a gluten free bakery, there.  He raved about the cakes and other baked goods.

Being Lachlan, the consummate networker, he offered to introduce us.  Within a few days, Phebe stopped by with a tasting box.  (All of a sudden, I found that Kent was very interested in GF cakes!)

Being a chocolate lover, the brownies and "oreos" called his name.  Thankfully, I got a taste before they were all gone.  The box also included chocolate cake, lemon poppy cake and carrot cake.

It is wonderful that there are more choices in GF wedding cakes.  And, such pretty ones!

You might want to check out nuflours.  Give them a call at 206.395.4623.  And, if you are at the Farmers Market, enjoy a taste!
